Custom-built to suit your space, the Ellipse Monobloc offers a flexible, low-maintenance way to expand your outdoor living, reduce indoor heat, and enjoy year-round comfort.

Complete your retractable awning with premium hardware in White, Grey, or Textured Black to complement your home’s exterior. The adjustable pitch lets you easily raise or lower the awning with a manual crank handle, helping block low morning or afternoon sun and maintain comfortable shade throughout the day.

Choose between a reliable manual awning with your preferred crank handle length, or upgrade to motorised operation with a pre-programmed motor, remote control, and wind sensor. Motorised systems must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Structural Support

Mounting location
Awnings can be wall-mounted, soffit-mounted under eaves, or roof-mounted. Wall-mounting is most common. The mounting surface must be strong enough to support the awning’s weight. If unsure, a builder or handyman can assess before you order.

Clearance
Check for vents, exterior lights, downpipes, or other features that could obstruct installation or operation.

Pitch and Rain

Minimum pitch of 12–15 degrees is required for rainwater to run off. Water pooling will permanently stretch or damage the fabric.

Most retractable awnings are designed for sun protection, not heavy rain. Retract during heavy downpours.

Local Weather Conditions

Wind exposure
Retract the awning in high winds. In particularly windy areas, a motorised model with a wind sensor is strongly recommended.

Sun path
Track the sun’s path over your home at different times of day and year to confirm the awning’s shadow covers your preferred area.
